hi all,
recently picked up a 2002 1.2 16v 3dr sporting for my daughter,i noticed the n/s headlight was not working,replaced the h7 bulb,all fine!
checked the rear lights,all fine!
when i activate main beam the n/s headlight goes out!
when i indicate or activate the hazard lights when the lights are on the n/s light is very dim,any one got any ideas where i should start looking to sort this possible earth problem,
thanks keith

There will be a cable taking an earth wire to the chassis which may be corroded. Remove bolt clean metal, smear with vaseline and bolt back again. Put a dab on top for good measure.

Also while your at it
do the battery terminals with emory paper (NOT WIRE WOOL!)

You can do the battery clamps with wire wool - if the battery is away from car

Make sure you copper grease them up as well after

There is a Multi-pin connector on the right hand side - make sure thats clean - and that its secure upto body

And as Whitesei said - the main body earth (attached to Negi wire from battery) make sure its all clean and rust free - plenty of coppergrease to protect it

thanks ziggy,
