Hi guys,

I had 2 faulty steering columns and tore them apart to get a good one working. I went to re-calibrate them using FiatECUScan but the software is giving me a FAILED TO EXECUTE on the position sensor and OK on the torque sensor.

Could it be that when re assembling the column I didn't align something?

I swapped over an ecu and motor but i am still getting the error.

Is it dangerous to drive the car this way?

Look at the Forum Guides & do the repairs carefully. If that will not mend the fault you will need a service exchange column. You could try a used steering motor then check the solder joints on that & hope for the best.

What version of FiatECUScan are you using? Try the latest one, as there was some issues with a version failing to execute certain commands
