Hi, I know someones already asked about wheel trims but by problem is that when i bought my car it only had basic plain halford wheel trims, because i can't afford alloys i wanted some decent Fiat wheel trims as an alternative - the garage wants stupid prices ie £34, so i've been looking on ebay where i've found a set of wheel trims - the ones that come as standard on a new punto from fiat. Only problem is i'm not very mechanically minded - and these trims (if you know the ones i'm on about) are the "bolt on type" (4 bolt holes in the middle) i asked the seller about it a he said it should be fairly easy to fit (just take bolts out, trim on, bolts back on) which i fairly straight forward - but the problem is he said that i might need to buy special bolts to do it but he wasn't sure. Can anyone tell me if this is true or shed some light on the subject. Do i need special bolts??? Help, thanks.

You won't need special bolts.
However I had to buy a set of longer (31mm ) bolts when i switched from standard Steel wheels ( with Fiat 'bolt on trims) to a set of Fiat Alloys. The bolts don't actually 'squeeze down' onto the plastic wheel trims, they are just a very close fit due to the conical shape of the Bolt head.

When you fit your new wheel trims the Bolt nearest to the Valve usually stays in. The Fiat trims will have a little nick cut into it on this particular bolt hole so that the trim easily fits over this single bolt without removing it. You will then need to refit the remaining 3 bolts through the wheel trim, to hold it securely in place.

Quickhubs.com looks pretty decent! Lost my Mondeo trim and ordered a new one in a few simple steps. Easy, cheap and professional!

Oh just found an awesome site. Try http://www.quickhubs.com/. They seem to look good.

LOL - "When did you loose yours?" - it's 'lose', not 'loose' (which is opposite of 'tight'). Losers! :)

It looks like they only do Ford, Renault, Nissan, Kia. What about www.shop4parts.co.uk as someone said? They have a range of Punto wheel trims at good prices.

I think six of your seven posts are on this one thread ;) I don't want to be rude but you might like to try the 'Edit' button some time, to add onto previous posts?

lol one way to beat josh's post count :D

If you can't afford alloys, I would wait for what I wanted to come up on ebay...if not, phone round scrapyards or buy a cheaper set of trims from hellfrauds or similar.

And sorry to hear yours were nicked...and welcome to the forum :)

Hey everyone I'm a newbie. Just thought I'd add a few comments. Just tried that shop4parts for my Fiat Punto. Fixed my Fiat Punto up sweet. Definitely Cheap. Didn't seem to have anything in for my Clio II though. (I know this isn't a Renault forum). I don't think they do anything Renault related anyway. So I tried telephoning that QuickHubs web site. Seem like pretty new. Said they're gonna be selling Fiat wheel trims in the new year so hurray! I might upgrade to alloys one day.
