I don't know if anyone else has this problem, at petrol stations, i can't seem to get the nozzle in to actually deliver petrol at a decent rate.

At tesco, i can't fuel the car AT ALL, it dribbles out onto the floor, no matter what way i put it in. Straight definatly does not work. My dad had 2 punto's and he said he had the exact same problem, he said you have to tilt the pump sideways and squeeze gently. Now, i still can't work it at tesco so have to travel 10 mins to the next pump, which BARELY works and even then if i want even just half a tank's worth it takes ages.

So, if anyone knows any solutions at all?

PS i was told that in the punto the fuel pipe in the car is a strange shape??
PUNTO MK2 2000.

Don't shove the nozzle in too far and change the angle until it flows smoothly. Mine fills at full speed in the local Tescos (though its pretty dam slow TBH).

I found the same problem at Tesco, it took ages to fill, so eventually i gave up, but any other garage its usually fine. I do find that i have to put nozzle in at funny angle almost 90degrees though . .

I've never had a problem once i released to not put the nozzle in too far. Although I've never filled up at a Tescos. Surely all the nozzles are the same?

As others have said, I can just put the nozzle in, with the base of the trigger cage thing at six o'clock just slightly back from all the way in, fills at full speed?

The Tescos 99 octane I use fills at full speed but its a slow pump.
Shone the nozzle right in and it will click every time.
Put it in halfway with handle low and it flows full speed.
