electrical problems???

Hi Just noticed that my headlights are not working properly. It seams that i only have the use of dipped lights . no full beam or normal headlights, also my full beam indicator light on the dash is on constantly when i go through all three light settings even though there is no change in the light itself, so it is impossible to drive in the dark. its a punto 1997 55s, any ideas about what might be the problem and is it easy to fix?????

Re: electrical problems???

Have you checked the bulbs haven't went??

Some punto's have a warning light on the instrument panel that looks like a little light bulb lit up that warns you when one of your bulbs has went.

It may be your seeing thins warning light that looks similar to the light that is illuminated when you have your lights turned on.

If not then it may be a fault within the wiring of the cars set-up.

Re: electrical problems???

Welcome to the world of bad Fiat electrics, have you tried turning the car on and turning it off again, usually solves most electrical probs on a Fiat in my experience
