Good morning every one have aquired a Blaupunt single cd-radio out of punto (X reg) (scrapyard) and when ive gone to fit it to our punto(Y reg) it comes up with "cancheck" does anyone know what this means?
Its the factory fit option not an after market unit. I know when i disconect the old radio-tape unit it comes up with code and you input the numbers but this doesnt even go to the 4 flashing ---- signifying it wants the code.

simply put, it cannot communicate with the cars computer correctly. either the codes are different or the wiring is, i beleive that u can get the codes reset to use it on any car if u take it to to a blaupunkt service center for about 20quid. take a quick search on the forum as i think this has been discussed before. for ease, its always better to fit an aftermarket head unit which will be set to use on any car, will need to get a fascia adapter and maybe an adapter for the wiring loom, but they are cheep to buy.

Yea i'd go aftermarket - as you can get Lots of other handy features
Like Aux port - Memory card - Usb - Bluetooth - Dvd player and lots of other bits
