Hey am new to this site and new to owning a fiat =)

Its a Punto 03 1.2 16v Active Sport,
I have had it literally for 2 weeks and when I am driving slow like in car parks the rear passenger side wheel squeaks, sounds like a guinea pig but loud, my last car was a Peugeot 206 and this had the same problem and the garage charged me £250 and replace the whole rear suspension and arm but i drove the peugeot for 1yr and many months before i did anything about it cos it still drove fine so i was wanting to ask could it be anything small or easily fixed or am i looking at a big fat garage bill again.

not even gonna mention when it lost power steering last week but after switching on and off it stopped so just left it at that lol.

any help would be brill,

thanx guys

sounds like either a wheel bearing, think these are about £30 plus fitting, or it could be the brake binding, again not an expensive job.
Hope this helps.

A binding brake can cause a squeak from the wheel. Bearings usually rumble and moan more often loudest around 40mph.

Punto brake parts are not costly you can get a full axle set of drums shows and slave cylinders for under £60. They are easy to fit so labour should not be more than £100.

The steering cutting out and coming back is a symptom of a weak/worn out battery. Its an electric assist system that works hardest at parking speed when the engine is usually not going fast enough to make much power so the battery does the work.
