Styling Alloys!

hey guys
i own a mk1 punto
i went to a car boot sale and bought a phatt set of alloy wheels,their 17" the problem is they dont fit properly they will only fit if i put some spacers on them but the spacer size will need to be 15mm on back and 5mm on front, i will obviously get bolts with the extra length that will be able to hold the wheels on,
just wondering wether 15mm spacers will be dangerous like, i dont want me wheel to be falling off
anyone had any problems with spacers or any one give me any advice?

If done right 15mm spacers should be ok. Stories of wheels falling of etc are stupid. There fine to be used as long as done right

But your car may look pretty silly as your wheels may sit pretty far out from where your original wheels sit just now.

You should fit them and see anyway

cheers mate i will get it sorted out,
i tried it with the 15mm spacer and the wheel fits nicely inside the arch with no rubbing. it actually looks quite good

Glad they look ok. Sometimes if you put too big a spacer on they stick out so much they just don't look right.

been out on it today went for a mini cruise and had no problems at all, the ride felt smooth
