Posts: 2 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | ![]() Ive just bought a 52 plate 1.2 8v Punto Active and need some advice please... ![]() Checked the MOT history and the car has been clocked so I have no idea what the true mileage is (looking at the history ive averaged it to be around 116,000+) and there's a possibility the engine may have been changed aswel plus I have no service history so bascially I know sweet F all about this car ![]() My dad suggested having the cam belt done just to be safe so can somone give me a rough price of how much it is to get done or even how easy it is to do it yourself? Ive read somewhere that if its a non-interference engine nothing gets damaged if the cam belt snaps, is this true? and how can I tell if my engine is non-interference? Is there anything else I can do or check on this car as im still slighty wary of driving it when I know so little about it?? Any help or advice would be really appreciated! ![]() ![]()

Do pump and tensioner at the same time. Whilst a snapped belt will not ruin the engine, it will ruin your day if it goes in the fast lane of the motorway. Cheers D
