get a new sump
mine leaks also - only found out it was sump when i did HG and timing...
- was hoping the leak was from rocker cover...
Loctit Quick gasket 5910 or 5980 - i think i ended up using... ebay person sent wrong item - worked fine though

The sump pans rust so bodging on some silicone sealant probably wont do very much, but cheap and harmless if you want to try. Degrease the area fully and dont use the engine until its cured.
The downside is bits of rust getting pushed through and contaminating the oil.

i was wonderin is there a sealant i can get to stop the sump leaking on my bnged up old punto ive had it 10 years anits been an awesome car an dont wanna end my relationship with her just yet please help

If the sump is leaking anywhere other than the sump plug or seal then replace it
Other wise torque set the sump plug or add more sealant to the edges

Slap on a thick coat of paint so it lasts a bit longer.
Its a PIA to DIY so get a garage to do it. With a car lift and proper tools they'll be done in no time, so not bad on labour costs.
