Hi everyone,

Finally got some time off work to fix up the car, among other things i have a set of FK AKs to go on the mk2.

Been reading through old posts to get an idea of how to go about fitting them and what problems may arise, but does anyone know of a good guide for the job? Or any advice would be great.

Thanks (y)

Not sure of a guide, but it seems to be a standard remove and fit of the suspension. My g/f's dad fitted my AK FK's and he's not worked on a Punto before, but he knew what to do without any extra help so I assume its pretty generic.

However, my advise would be to set aside a chunk of money to have a full camber/toe and caster check after the coilovers are fitted. Mine cost me £70 but that included having them fit a different set of wheels at the same time.

yeah that's pretty much what i thought judging from old posts and whatever i can find through google.

Front strut i have removed before, but the rears i have never even looked at.

Does anyone know the torque settings for front strut bolts, top mounts and rear bolts?

if its the same as the grande in terms of set up your going to need an 18mm offset ring spanner like this

Take Great care compressing the spring this part of the job is highly dangerous if the spring is accidently released like this below

Thanks andy that looks really useful. I'll have a good read through it and see what does and doesn't correlate to my car's setup (y)
