Technical Flashing Dash Lights

Does anyone else suffer from sporadic flashing of the warning lights on the dash board?. I drive the Punto 1.2 8v (2002) and every now and again the red air bag light flashes. I have taken the car into the dealer on numerous occasions and they say there is nothing wrong - they have told me that fiat class it as acceptable for the lights to flash aslong as they dont stay on for more than 5 seconds - it is soooo annoying as when i am driving at night the flashing dazzles me. When i bought my punto i did not expect it to light up like blackpool illuminations when i drove it.
This problem only started 3 months ago - i have had the car 18 months. Does anyone know if this problem can be fixed - im sure my dealers are just fobbing me off!!!
