Do you guys race? A lot of high speed cornering? Is that why you want the catch tank?

Thanks tips.

I do realize that but generally people install catch cans with turbo applications, or high-performance race applications where excessive blow-by is a regular occurrence. I was just wondering if he raced, not trying to make a snide comment or anything.

any car with a breather pipe on the head oil gets drawn along it, most people with aftermarket filter kits notice a build up of oil where the breather pipe meets the filter. this is where warm air from the oil gets drawn too.

A oil catch tank acts as a pooling area for this oil allowing only the oil to pass not the oil and other gunk

This isn't quite right, it catchs the oil vapours that would usually go back into the engine and burnt away, but the oil catch tank catchs the oil vapours turn into a crappy liquid.

The reason for modifying the breather in the first place is to provide a cleaner supply of air for the engine.
