Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this issue. My remote central locking doesn't work from outside of the car. It works:

- Sitting in car, with doors closed
- Outside of car with doors open

However, it refuses to work if i'm standing outside of the car with the door closed. It works from about 20 feet away with the door open - so I don't think it's the battery dying.

At all times, regular (via key) central locking works fine.

Anyone reckon they can shed some light on this?

Is it an aftermarket system or standard?

It's the standard factory fitted kit. I've just also tried a new remote battery to no avail .

Maybe its something to do with the reciever in the car, not sure where its fitted standard but if its come loose and moved and now blocks signal from the remote with a big bit of the body or something then that might be the problem
