So I have a Fiat Punto 55, last winter the weather destroyed the engine. Got a new engine put in from a Mark 2. But this was in the summer. I have noticed that the radiator fan is not turning on. Looking around on the internet I have seen that it could be the fuse or the wirings could be loose or faulty, thermostat maybe I am not sure. which is why i need the help

If someone could help me solve this I would really appreciate it, just some advice or a tip or hint that will get me on the way to fixing this irritating problem.

Thank you.

Yeah I have a Mark 1, Punto 55, basic of the basic but its a nice car. the radiator fan just dont wanna turn, when its on for about 20 to 30 mins you can see smoke rising from around the radiator, i have tried spining the fan but it doesnt spin on its own.

How do I short out the switch connector? silly I know but no such thing as a silly question just silly people who dont ask silly questions and remain stuck

Hi,

sounds like the fan is siezed and needs replacing if it does not turn freely.. should rotate freely.

No I mean when I see the smoke coming from the front, the smoke itself is subtle but I can notice it. I try to spin, it spins but not on its own, its not seized or stiff, it spins freely but not automatically like I assume it should.

Any ideas

sorry in the delay. The weather has been nasty so just waiting for it to get a bit better but hoping to do it asap. I will let you guys know once its done.
