i wanna change my front lights to aftermarket angels, but until then im gunna upgrade the bulbs to some sort of xenons and led sidelights maybe(best ones to get?) cos as u all prob know, the standard lights are pants.
anyways, after have a quick search, ive found a number of posts stating that there was a cross over period where they changed em from h1's to h7s, or vice versa...
what id like to know is what year was this done? i have a 2001 1.2 16v elx w/out front fogs, am i safe to assume they are h7's, or do i need to rip em out to find out still? i dont get much of a use out of the main beams so just looking to change the dipped and side lights so any help will be great. ive a 2000 reg and it uses H7's
my lights are fine, they where useless before i got them focused, but i live in a rural area with no streetlights & quite roads, so using full beam 80% of time

do your dipped beams stay on with ur full beam? the light output of them is pretty good when there both on, but somtimes my dipped beam goes off when fulls are on

i think they go off iirc. the alignment was out last mot it had b4 i got it but was sorted from what i can gather so shouldnt be that. thats why i was asking. i live in built up areas so very rarely go places that have no lights. dont wanna blind people with full beam so wanna have a bit more light output from dipped/sidelight. thinking the cross over was around 2000 but not too sure.

2001 elx is H7 bulbs, i have a sep 2002 model and they are H1's. i had 100w xenon lights in mine (not road legal) but adjusted them to point down abit more as to not blind other drivers. will change back to my 55w for mot though.
