Re: Door handle removing

ive had to take mine off today to fixed it, snapped in cold....

remove door card
then behind the handle on the inside is a metal plate, held on with 2 bolts
unbolt this, then u can slowly prise the handle out from the outside, slowly tho as the small studs tend to break easily
when handle is out, use a flat screwdriver to compress the clip that attaches to the wire...

Re: Door handle removing

Get a proper door trim removal tool so you dont damage the door card or its clips. Also repair any rips in the plastic film so the card doesn't get damp & soggy.

how did that work out for u on the underside of the handle tho? wont it leave the underside with no paint, which in turn will lead to the paint flaking/chipping off through use?

i masked using msking tape all around the door handle and under the door handle on the door...then i used newspaper to cover door just to make sure

when spraying the handle i first did the underside of the handles by just spraying the can up to the underside lol then did the outer sides lol
bee like a year and still fine
