I have a annoying problem with the car when the steering wheel is dead centre the car is almost drifting to the right, so im constantly holding the steering wheel to the left... few weeks back i took it to a wheel specialist and i explained the situation i never had this problem before when the alloys were on previously when i put new suspension on (with original steelies on) then.... about 3 weeks later i put the 17'' alloys back on then suddenly the car is just going to the right. i checked all the tyre pressures etc everything okay just wondering what you people think? the guy at the garage said it wasnt the tracking and that i should swap the rear wheels for the front

because you have put new suspension on and changed wheel sizes.. I sugest you DO NOT get your tracking checked... BUT instead get a FULL wheel alignment / Geometry Check

A lot of people fall for places saying "get your wheel alignment checked"
then you get it done ane all the do is check the front wheels toe in toe out with the 2 lasers and flags on the rear wheels... this is a waste of time and not what you want.

especially when lowering any car.. you need a full wheel alignment or geometry check.. where they check the wheel alignment on all 4 wheels, front and rear... and not only check the toe, but the caster and camber.

you should get a nice printout like the following,

a little more expensive, but a "so called" wheel alignment is a waste of money.. especially if you have lowered your car... seen loads of people who have had wheel alignments done.. they have said yeah its fine.. no problems.. but still getting tyre wear... get a full alignment done then they find the caster is out and they have had to have adjustments made to the caster using spacer shims etc.

the above where you get a printout is the only proper type of wheel alignment.
you can find your nearest wheel alignment specialist here,

Top advice and should always be done with drop kits etc.

Also swap the wheels left to right and see if it pulls the other way. But dont skimp the job and avoid getting a proper alignment done.
