hi.

I needed to check a blown fuse today on my 02 punto and not knowing which one it was pulled most of them out to check, unfortunately after doing so the airbag light remains on and the seatbelt warning light is flashing.....bugger!!

I have spoken with the local fiat garage who want my left arm and leg to reset it and i shall have to give it to them as a last resort, however by reading most of the threads on here I can tell you are an informative group and may be able to help.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated or have i totally cocked it up and have to go to the garage.

Lood forward to your replies

regards

There is a guide in which tells you how to reset and check codes for EML and Airbag faults for about a tenner with a laptop..

Before you spend money trying to reset the lights - there's a common problem with the Punto's and air bag warnings. It's usually the wiring connections either under the seat (passenger i think) or behind the glove compartment. maybe you've disturbed some wiring. Has somone moved the passenger seat recently?
The good news is, it's not a gugely expensive job labour wise at Fiat as they know about the problem and usually know exactly where to go for it - i had mine done and it was behind the glove compartment they said.
Hope this helps.
