Hi Chaps
Excuse my intrusion into the Punto Forum (I'm normally lurking in the Stilo section). My daughter's boyfriend has a facelift Punto 3-door displaying classic door check strap symptoms (loud clicking noise on opening the door).
No problem I thought (already replaced one on my Stilo). But when I came to fit the new strap, I found the part of the door liner which the strap bolts on to (the door end of the strap, not the doorframe end) had completely cracked up. The strap was floating in mid-air! I'm left with nothing to bolt the check strap on to!
Tried ePER to see what the strap bolts on to, but nothing shown.
So, has anyone else had this problem and can offer a solution? Please don't say it needs a new door!!!
Cheers guys.
