Hi there,
When i first start my mk1 punto it feels as if the battery is nearly dead :S
I know the electrics in the car are all good as i checked them and the battery terminals are on good and strong!
I charged the battery the other day for like 5 hours and it was ok for about 3 days but yesterday i noticed when i started it it felt as if it was almost dead :S
Could it be the under vent neons halfords wired to the side lights? even though i make sure there always switched off?
What could it be please help!
Thanks in advance for any answers :)

(1) Wire the neons to a supply that off with the ignition
(2) get the battery properly stress tested the electronic boxes will say the %age charge but not the actual capacity which could be * all.

Cold Kills Car Batteries - if it was really cold when you tried to start up then i'd be with whitesei - the battery is dead

Get an Amp Meter on the -ve battery pole and the lead on the -ve Wire to the battery - hold carefully as you remove the -ve wire - the amp meter will let current pass and show if something is draining your battery without it taking clock/Radio Code etc etc out

ziggy
