I've just got my 1.2 16v Active Sport in Yellow, & I love it, worth every penny! I just wondered that if I did want to try and give it a bit more ooomph whats the best place to start? Coz I know there's loadz of stuff you can buy air filters etc, but whats it really worth doing and what are the best types/brands to go for? I'm not after a massive improvement, just somat to give it a bit more go thats worth the money.

:) (y)

all depends on money of course but

best air filter is a BMC carbon dynamic airbox cost is about £160 this will improve engine response and give you small bhp increase.

a visit to angel tuneing can remap your ecu and get you an extra 9bhp for about £300 i think it is maybe £350

ful stainles exhaust will also help but price ??? not sure few hundred i expect.

so if you got the money and want a deffinate easily noticebale increase get the angel tune plus BMC.

if that is a bit expensve just get the bmc

Thanks, ye I read that but just wanted to know which it was really worth doing. £160 aint bad but will it effect my insurance? I suppose its only if a tell them but better safe than sorry I think!

:) :)

An induction kit would more than likely affect insurance, however there are insurance companies that class them as a minor engine mod, that doesnt give any more power so wont increase the premium.

People have said the BMC CDA works very well, if you get a remap aswell it will definately be worth it. A remap cant be found by insurers quite so easily either ;) Then after all this a nice sounding less-restricting exhaust should finish it off nicely :) (Insurance permitting of course)
