Hey guys.

I have owned my Punto since March, since I have had it the door open warning light stays on constantly, but not on as in... well... on! Its kinda dimmed down not fully lit up, but its always on. When I test drove the car it was on as I remember asking what the light did when driving it. Since I have had it tho its been "dim" but on!

Also my power steering light flashes, just for a second, and then goes off again whilest driving, I have had one occasion tho where its stayed on until I turned off the ignition. Maybe its power steering liquid low? I'm not sure?

Had it back to the place I bought it under warranty and they said the cars memory wasn't showing any faults recorded for either.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

There is no power steering fluid. It's electrical.
The reason the light will be showing is that your battery is coming to the end of it's life (may want to upgrade to a more pwerful battery to last longer)

As for the door light, find where the sensor switch is that operates the light (usually in the door frame somewhere, mine doesn't have it so wouldn't know)

Press them all in fully and see if that turns the light off. May just be a dodgy sensor sticking slightly

am i not right in saying th EPS (electric power steering) light flashes every once and a while while driving when its doing a test? and its normal? i think lol

Ill have a gander for some sensory looking type things in my doors and boot then. Was considering a battery so may have to invest. It does seem to flash for a 10th of a second (without the use of a stopwatch i'm not 100% lol) so maybe it's just me worrying over nothing. Perhaps when It stopped on it had failed a test maybe? Not sure :(
