when i put my foot on the brake pedal, use my hazards/indicators or headlights i get a clicking noise and also it thumps the back window where the brake light is. today after work i started the engine and the trip computer was flashing for no reason, there was no warning lights or anything. i have looked in the manual and mentions nothing about what i have.

You have an electrical fault at the rear by the sounds of it. Also the trip was flashing or the clock? The clock flashes if power has been lost then back again.

Clicking is most likely a relay! I don't know much about electricals but that's my input
