Hi just got a cheap mk1 1.2 60s, and was wondering if anyone could tell the the differences in hardware between the 60 75 and 85 1.2? Is is just a case of ecu/key change or do i need to make other changes?
Im just looking for as much power as i can from stock items before i go any futher

Thanks

Hey, welcome to the forums

For modifying engine wise its not that good for a punto but lots of cinq's have engine mods so have a look in that section

"60,75,85" is how much they should put out a new when there all in good working order so these engines now adays you would look at a bit less

60- standard SPI nothing fancy just a really, 8 valves to this engine

75- re-worked cylinder head design with better flow and is MPI also the engine is slightly taller, 8 Valves to this engine

8- 1.2 completely different to the engine above as this had 16 valves, its MPI and has rather alot of kick up its backside

the 75 you can get away with splicing the injector into the original loom and retain the original keys

for the 85 its alot of hassle, easier if you have one to start off with or have one as a donor car as you will need engine mounts ECU keys lock ariel code-box and some others

hope this was some help

There is not much point in doing the engine without upgrading the brakes and suspension.
Insurance costs rocket when a car is souped up and forgetting to tell them = no insurance when you need it - yes they do check. Especially with younger drivers.
