Can i sort this problem out myself or is it a garage job? im not sure exactly where the diesel is coming from on the injector either.

It's a DIY job, but do grab yourself a manual first. If you fail to depressurise the fuel system, the spray from the injectors is so powerful and fine that it can actually penetrate your skin and give you diesel poisoning.

Do they need replacing or do you think its just the seal that is gone? or shall i just tighten them up?

You need to take a careful look to see if it is leaking at the interface between the fuel hose and injector or the injector and the manifold. Clean it all as best as you can and then run the car to see where it squirts from.

If it is the fuel hose to injector union, do check that it is the injector and not the fuel hose itself.

The diesel bubbles up from the base of the injector.

I was thinking of removing it and getting them checked and cleaned. Where can i get the washer/ seal as there will be no point in reusing the old ones.
