My Gearbox has some kind of issue at the moment. I cannot drive my car.

Basically some times my gears engage and others they engage then slip out. Then heres my favourite no engagement at all just a grinding sound?

Anyone got a clue on this? Anybody had the same problem and know the repair/replacement cost?

Assuming the gear lever action feels normal and the gears will select when parked with engine off.

If its the clutch not operating properly - Symptoms - crunches into reverse, wont go into 1st and down-shifts wont select easily.

If its a gearbox fault it will have to come out of the car. If its the clutch the gearbox also has to come out of the car.

sounds like synchros are gone... is it all gears or just a couple? maybe its selector fork issues.
