Re: Brembo Max Discs - Special offer

Looks ok. I found some nice slotted & drilled discs on eBay. Not bermbo of course but a set of 4 discs for the HGT were about 110 plus 25 if you wanted them plated so they dont rust outside the pad contact areas.

I paid 27 each for fronts and 10 each for rears (pus VAT) for standard discs. I regret not paying a bit more for plated/slotted etc

Re: Brembo Max Discs - Special offer

The Brembo Max discs are already coated in the non contact areas to increase the life at no extra charge. They will last significantly longer than cheaper alternatives due to the higher carbon content of the cast iron and the anti rust coating.

So whilst the initial purchase is higher, the extended life they provide means they will work out much more economical!

We do have them for the 8V MK2 Punto, which according to my listings are 240mm?

Price is 70 + VAT!

We also have the standard (plain) Brembo discs available for this model which are 40 + VAT.

The Brembo Max discs are slotted and have an anti corrosion finish. The standard discs are plain faced, both are solid discs.

Re: Brembo Max Discs - Special offer

What are shipping (if you do it) to Ireland (Dublin)?

This would be for the GBP70 disks for the 1.2l 8v. I assume (maybe wrongly) that there is no difference in disc size between a Mk2 and Mk3 (facelift version).

Re: Brembo Max Discs - Special offer

I used standard Fiat parts, but deffo agree plated Brembos at this price would have been well worth having. BTW, 8V front discs are the same as HGT rears.
Thanks CBP thanked for this post

Our listings show there is no difference for the facelifted version with regards to the braking system!

Shipping to Ireland is 30 + VAT for a 2 day service.

Thanks

Steve

Re: Brembo Max Discs - Special offer

No worries I was going by what Shop 4 Parts say on their brake discs pages.

Re: Brembo Max Discs - Special offer

Wow, I think anyone who spends 120 on a pair of brake discs for a Punto ought to be dragged out and shot.

BTW are these the same Brembo discs which are available on ebay for ~78?

Are the discs on Ebay actually Brembo? The Punto discs are some of the cheapest we offer! Personally I would rather spend a little bit more on my brakes than buying the cheapest available. You get what you pay for, same as everything!
Thanks jip0 thanked for this post

Re: Brembo Max Discs - Special offer

They are 99% not Brembo as seller would want to use a good name like that. CBP seems to be offering a good deal. Shame I went for standard kit only a few weeks ago. :-(
