Technical interior fan doesn't work except for the 4th speed??

hi all

my interior fan is not working except for the 4th (max) speed

i have the mk2 punto 1.2 8v

what might be the problem??

Resistor blown, although I had this problem and it started working again a week later :S

I think the resistor is built into the motor though!

That's what I was told when mine went, not cheap either I'm afraid!
