I forgot to post this. Even at £4000 is probably cheap - radical mods cost £££

When working on a budget its best to do the important things & leave expensive or uncertain things like suspension drops until you know what you really need.

For example I recently bought some Fiat brake discs. They cost about £90 but for another £30 or £40 I could have had grooved & plated discs. Booger.

If looking for a real power boost I really think the Alfa V6 is more suitable than the 20V. The V6 is wider where there is plenty of space (front to back) but shorter where space is restricted (width of engine bay).

That said dont ignore the 1.9 diesels chipped versions make serious stomp.

Would they fit in a 1.2 8v aswell? I know it would require alot more mod but would it actually fit?

As far as I know the body shell is the same but running gear will be no use. Swap everything you can from the Bravo and the RHS front inner wing will need some surgery.

When you have space to get it in, hang the engine into the car space it on wood blocks and measure for specially made engine mount brackets.

You will need to cut and weld body panels make brackets and maybe have special parts machined. Not cheap or quick but interesting.

Edit
The inner wing supports the front suspension. Any metal bashing needs to take account of the strength needed so the body doesn't collapse (and so it passes the engineer's report).

Arrrgh - All this car stuff is crazy, I wish I was a mechanic or could at least get to grips with how it all works.

I've heard things like using larger injectors and high lift cams can make a little difference? I try to google said parts and get nil results back. Admittadly I don't know where to start. For now it seems all I'm ok at is spraying parts!

I whole heartadly want to be able to make my car run well and try the odd thing of two but my lack of knowledge holds me back so much!

I changed a coil on my car two days ago, and can do sparks on it to (Although, it did take me a wee while to find lol) - Rant over, thanks for reading this far
