Hi guys.

How hard would it be to paint/spray my front and rear bumper so it matches the rest of the body work?

My bumpers are a "grey" type colour (they dont seem faded), it would just look nicer to have the car one complete colour.

I understand the basics of sanding down and then using several layers of plastic primer before spraying them.

My main question:

Would it be easier/cheaper to get them sprayed at a spraying place? (dont know the name of it lol)

I can pictures up in the morning to help explain what I mean.

Any help would be great, thanks :)

If they are polypropylene they wont reliably take paint - its too slippery.
You would be best to buy a pair of body colour bumpers and have them painted to suit your car. For what it costs, its hardly worth DIY

I asked this a few months ago and basicly buy some second hand its much easier. But can't find any red ones so i stuck with the black ones. Also the black ones ain't like egg shell and are harder to brake.

Take them to the body shop and ask them to spray them in the colour of your car. Sorted

You'll need to have pre-colour coded bumpers regardless, otherwise the finish will be terrible as well as not last as long. I found that the black bumpers are actually easier to brake that the colour coded ones but there you go.

Lmao. What did you hit? an iceberg??

Don't try a diy job it will look crap most likely.

Go to a bodyshop and get a quote, or as some have said try and buy some on ebay, or better yet try a scrapyard, you might even get some in your colour so no need to respray.

I wish they never sold cars with them damn unpainted bumpers I hate mine lol
