Aftersome nice person put a nice big dent in the drivers door of my mk2 punto I'm looking to replace the door. Found a couple of doors with same colour but both have electric windows whilst mine are manual. As I will need to change the lock cylinder I will have the door card on both doors off. From the Haynes it looks like the door have the mounting for both elec and manuals so can I assume I can just swap out the components? Would my punto have the correct cable to power the window motor I want to leave the electric motor in?

Anyone changed a door and has any advise before I go ahead?

As far as i know all you'd need is the interior center dashboard with electric window switches and the door loom and electric window regulator for the other door. You may also need the interior loom, but im sure i read somewhere that the wiring is there already

Or simply run new wires to the switches.

De-rust and paint the doors before you fit them and let the paint harden. Then protect the edges with corrugated cardboard for when you fit the nice "new" doors.
