Hi first post
Anyways a week ago bought a W reg Punto Mk2 1.2 8v with 77k on the clock from a local Car Dealers, bodywork was in excellent condition no bumps or dent and the engine kick up first time from cold and tick over nicley.
The only problem with it was that it had both an oil leak & the power steering needed seeing to as the light was on in the dash, which they said they sort out & be done for Saturday just gone.
Well i rang them up Saturday asked them if the car was ready, to which they replied no they waiting on a part for the power steering, but everything else has been sorted & they give me a ring on Tuesday ie tomorrow.
TBH im not holding out for them to ring me as they didn't ring me last Saturday like they said they would, I had to do the ringing.
I really like the shape of the Punto as it's look like a handy little motor for around town, but after reading all the horror stories about blown head gaskets, power steering failure ect ect im beginning to have second thoughts.
Now i've already put £200 deposit on the car, and don't want to loose this
So if the power steering is a full blown job ie replace the full steering column which isn't cheap & i personally don't think they fix if that the case, im intitled to get my deposit back without any aggro?.
