that big pig you got circled is the drain from the run off from the windcreen, if it gets blocked it floods the area where the wiper motor is. If its letting water out its doing its job. Nothing to worry about.

lol ok, cause i had to change the non return valve and i saw that so as long at it is tht, im ok, bt other problems have been acurring like the battery not holding charge so gna have to get new battery and alternator :(

well i disconect it cause it not on the road atm and i gotta do tht cause the fuel system is nackered too, take a maxi fuse out the buzzin stops and the fuel pump aint on but put it in then the fuel pump stays on, so need to fix that as well :(

Its easiest to keep a 10mm spanner in the glove-box and just take off the battery earth. But check the stereo is wired properly - many aftermarket types don't turn off with the ignition and flatten the battery. The alternator is most likely fine but get it tested to be sure.

Battery tests can be misleading - they tell you the %age charge in the battery, but not how much actual capacity there is. It could be showing 90% (or less) of bngger-all.

If the charge is still dropping when the battery has been disconnected then its probably shot it.

Dont skimp the battery an extra £30 for a top spec is good insurance.
Puntos (like many cars) have electric power steering which needs lots of kick at low speeds when the generator isnt doing much. In cold weather no battery will deliver its normal capacity and the lights will be on, heater fan going and maybe heated rear window. To keep it all happy, its best to go for the best spec battery you can get and avoid the basic 2 to 3 year warranty lead acid type.

my punto hasnt got power steering lol plus i think the battery is 3+ years old, and the stereo is basic from manufactor just i think the fuel pump relay is knackered bt i dnt get how when i take out a maxi fue it switchs off but when its in it starts . its the biggest problem i got on the car. but gettin everythin else sorted aswell is a gd thing :)

The original one I had didnt turn off with the car either, made an iginition feed from the iginition barrel to overcome the problem when I put a new one in. Make sure you turn the radio off as it don't switch off automaticly.

the stereo s always switched off coz i got the face plate in the house so wen i g o 2 fix the car n try it, it goes dead but tbh i think it been bypassed by the fuel systemm

I thought young folks were good with the internet. Noob or otherwise it's searchable in the Fiat Forum.
