Dear All

My 03 punto has done 60K miles and recently (4 weeks), I am hearing a strange rattling noise when I bring the clutch up to the biting point, this does not happen all the time (I say 1 in 3), the car drives fine in other gears. Can anyone shed any light on this?

With my punto MK2, when the car is hot and its hot (weather wise), my clutch creaks when its pressed / lifted. Almost sounds like a springy noise.
Only happens it's hot, and was told it was a bearing on the clutch that is slightly worn.

Might be something similar. Maybe.

mine does this ive been told to just spray WD40 on the cable and it will sort it and thats what im going to do

clutch release bearing

What cable would that be? The clutch is hydraulic

Would also like to know which cable, with a picture or something to show. The noise sounds awful in hot conditions, and would be great to remedy it.
