I have a rattling noise coming from the rear of the car, mainly when i reverse or when the car is full, i thought it was my exhaust but after moving my ehaust around a bit i find it still happens. Please can anyone give me ideas on how to stop it or what it is? Thankyou

Check none of your exhaust mounts have corroded away

Had this sort of problem with my punto. It was something to do with the exhaust mounts. I'd do as said above, and ensure all mounting points are still intact and secure.

Thanks guys but I've had it in the pit and had to cut some of the mounts off where it was catching and it still rattles. It tends to happen after the car has been running for a bit.

Load up the car and have another look from the pit. The exhaust centre pipe often bangs on the rear beam if not correctly installed when the car is fully loaded.
