Hello, i have a 2000 fiat punto and one of the things it failed the mot on is rear brake binding. We have a loud noise coming from where you adjust the handbrake. I have tried to adjust the handbrake but the cable is pulling more on one side than the other.

Any suggestions please?

It has drums? Possibly a seized a cable. Remove the drum and inspect inside. If it's binding you may need to replace the drum and the shoes, then adjust as needed. If all is fine inside, maybe a new handbrake cable or remove the old one, clean and grease it.
