Technical rough idle when warm and oil leak

Hi,

My mk2 punto 1.2 8v (2003 / 53 plate) had been juddering whilst driving for a while, seemed like dodgy spark plugs - so replaced these and the problem got much better. Only occasional juddering since.

Problem seems to have shifted now though, it runs great when cold - but once it gets warm and i'm waiting at lights it judders horribly, also occasional juddering when accelerating from roudnabouts etc. I had a look under the bonnet (not that i had any idea what to look for) and i've noticed what looks like an oil leak, its on the right hand side of the engine as i look at it. Right at the top of the engine (just below the plastic air filter cover).

Could this be a cause / symptom of my problem?

I can take pictures if i've not described it well.

so the oil leak looks to be the rocker cover gasket, i'm off to wilco to get one.. and try to install it. but is it possible this is the cause of the misfire or will i have to look elsewhere to fix this?
