Hello everybody,
I would need little help with my punto '95 55sx. I've changed the coolant yesterday, drained the old one and get the new liquid in, 50 antifreez:50 mixed soft water. I poured about 3 liters of the mixture, started the engine: radiator fan won't switch on!
Could it be that the fan switch is spoiled due to the change of the coolant, or is that I poured too little of the coolant so that the switch is simply working 'dry'?
Any help would be really appreciated, as I have only tomorrow to fix, and then Monday bloody Monday.
Greetings from Bosnia

There should be "min" and "max" markings on the expansion tank below the coolant filler neck. Make sure that the coolant is above the "min" line. Often when you fill it up, the level drops down when you run the engine as the water is pumped into the engine, heater matrix etc.

Hi guys,
And just to tell you to be careful when filling the coolant back up. Open the screws on the radiator pipes located on the right hand side of the engine (pipes going into car interior through engine bay, used for the inside air) and let the water come out for a minute or so.
Squeeze all coolant pipes which you can see, otherwise there might be an airlock and then your car will be knackered.

:)

As mentioned above there is probably a airlock & system needs bleeding.I normally top up the coolant until it flows freely from the radiator bleed screw(top right if it has one)then start engine (heater blower on speed 2 with warm air, halfway!) then undo the bleed screw on the pipe as mentioned above for a while, watch might be very hot! Check fan switches on then you may need to top up coolant again afterwards, let it cool down first.
