hi,
im new to the forum and was just after a bit of advice. I have a Y reg punto and the front washer jets have stopped working. I was at a garage for something else and asked the mechanic about the washer jet problem. he had a look, tried to unblock it and came to the conclusion that new washer jets were needed. I ordered a couple of ebay and theyve come but i just wondered whether this is something that is easy enough to do yourself or if its quite complicated and prob better to get a mechanic to do?

open bonnet, locate pipework and jets.

Some manufacturers do different things, but I should think FIAT should be simple enough.

Where the pipework attaches to the jet there may be another "sleeve" pipe that you will need to peel back.

I use piping (you see what I did there :D) hot water to soften the ends of the pipe where it attaches to the jet in order to make it more pliable and thus easier to remove.

Also, dip the new jet in hot water to make the plastic less brittle and easy to fit. Then dip the pipe ends in hot water again to make them easy to fit onto the new jet.

Be careful though, as you don't want to end up in hot wat..... um....gets coat....:p
