Hi, sadly my first post is a techy one...
the girlfriends mum has a 54 plate 1.2 punto, the other day we went round to see her folks and there was a smell of fuel, upon inspection it was leaking fuel in a proper dribble!
normally the car is only filled 3/4 as it turns out the mother in law had been told a few years back by a AA / RAC type bloke who came to change her tyre and noticed the dribble never to brim it as some times they leak from a breather!
also the mother in law has very very little sense of taste or smell so doesnt notice if it smells or not
the change was the other day the father in law who never normally drives the car had used it and brimmed the tank!
so any one else had this fault? we are off to fiat tomorrow as my job is vehicle type approval so I know that according to the letter of the law this is not really right, esp not for a car thats less than 6 years old!
cheers
Karl
