The grease in a contributing factor but the main thing is to bend the 2 spring contacts back thus ensuring a better (stronger) contact when reassembled.

I've just brought (and fitted) some Bosch wiper blades. I've also de-greased my screen, but to no avail. I've also had the wiper motors de-greased by my dealership (DBS Desira) and they STILL sound like crap, any ideas? I'm just about had enough with the bloody things.....

Did they bend the wiper contacts???

Are you wiper blades sitting square(90o)on the screen???

How can I find out if they bent the wiper contacts? Also how can I check if the wipers are sitting on the screen "flush" And how can I fix them if there not?

Damn it, I won't have an excuse not to sort it out now!!!

I think I might have cracked the "jumping" wiper problem! Here's what I've done. First off, I had the grease problem sorted by my dealership. After that didn't help, I brought some Bosch wiper blades, and cleaned my windscreen using a can of Holts Screenies. After THAT didn't work, I bent the wiper arms towards the screen. As a final act of desperation, I sprayed WD-40 on the linkage. The WD-40 has cured the problem! I think the linkage was "dry" and the WD-40 has sorted it (For now....)

P.S. If the WD-40 wears off, are there any other types of grease that I could use to do the same job, that would last longer?

Try white spray grease that normally sticks nicely

Where would I get this "white" grease from? And who makes it? Thanks.

WD40 was the first thing i tried... it didn't work.

got some jml wonder wipers to help a bit. the wipers start to work ok after a while of using them... must be that the grease on them needs to warm up first.

so i need some of this 'white grease' then?
