Sometimes when I put my 2002 1.2 8V Punto into reverse, the engine cuts out and the dash lights flicker. The car re-starts fine but putting it into reverse does the same.

Sometimes it happenes in gear and sometimes when I lift the lifter before slotting into reverse?

Any ideas?
