Got a wee problem with my 2001 Punto (51,800) miles. The gearbox is started to feel a bit like a cheese grater i.e. putting it into gears is rough. Does this indicate a low gearbox oil level? Or would it be something else?

Clutch is completely fine btw.

When was the oil last changed?

How do you know the clutch is OK?
