I'm now getting the feeling i'm not ment to have an induction kit on my car.

after spending 65 quid on a k&n 57i induction kit for my mk1 75 1.2 MPI, and only to find that the bonnet wouldnt close :bang: so then i phoned k&n and allegadly they dont do a kit for the mpi engine, so after taking it back to halfords,
iordered the pipercross induction kit.

theinstructions are sooo pants and now i'm stuck i've got the old air box off but thats as far. plz help.

on my old turbo and sporting mk1's my bonnet didnt close eiether, until I FORCED it 2

I had exactly the same thing on my punto 75 with the k&n, and ended up with putting the standard stuff back- thinking of just putting a fit and forget filter in it now.

Just took it back to halfrauds and apparently they dont deal with induction kits they just sell them.

So now i've had to phone pipercross and book it in for next wednesday so they can have a look, as they couldnt say over the phone and the pictures they have got on the instructions arn't the same engine

oh well have to wait til wednesday...

mmm took me 20 mins to fit my K&N to my 1.2 mpi mk2.5.

Sounds liek a wet fart in a tin can now!
