Ive seen many of the euro cars with these pieces removed, i wanted to do that today.

Just wondering the best way of doing it... Is it just like removing the side bump strips?
And will it leave any holes that need filling?

Its alright mate got it answered on another forum:

is it the bit of black vinyl you mean? if so, just like removing badges etc, bit of heat and some patience and it'll come off, no holes underneath from what i remember.

Its the black piece in the middle of the rear and front windows.

It's a bit of vinyl.

Heat it up pull it off and put something on the glue to get rid of it

For future reference it is called B pillar vinyl

yeah just heat it up and pull it off then use autoglym tar remover to get rid of sticky

WD40 works well too.

Finished this earlier, just gotta work on the sticky stuff. I will try WD40 if you say so, cus i have nothing else really other than autoglym bumpercare.

I thought it was the clearcoat peeling off but luckily it was just glue.

yep wd40 does the trick,spray it and leave it overnight then skoosh it again before you tackle it

AUTOGLYM TAR EMOVER from halford works great instantly works soak for 5 mins then rub off

Jizer engine cleaner (not Gunk) is also good and its water washable. But it does take off body wax, so don't slosh it around.
