Technical Flywheel bolt pattern differences 1.1/1.2

I'm currently converting an M reg 1.2 Punto from CVT auto to Manual using an N reg 1.1 Punto.

Its all been rather plain sailing, but the only stumbling block i've come across is the flywheel.

The bolt pattern to fix the flywheel to the engine from the 1.1 engine doesn't quite match up when I try to bolt it onto the 1.2 engine.

Can anyone confirm for me that its simply that I need a 1.2 flywheel, and its not different simply because the car is an auto CVT?

i think thats right, i sold a punto cvt engine to a dude to fit his 1.1 cento and had to get a 1.2 manual fly for it as the 1.1 he had had a different pcd

Ok, top stuff.

Bit annoying why Fiat would do this, all seems rather pointless and more expensive for them to do this, was hoping to have had the car finished today.

No worries, I'll crack on with the head gasket on the S reg 1.2 instead then!
