Got a 53 plate 1.2 Active exactly a week ago today, and already having an issue with it. This morning, while stopped in traffic, I noticed the revs fluctuating between 1,000 and 2,000rpm for a while, before they settled down again to a steady idle. Shortly afterwards, I noticed that the EOBD light had come on (steady, not flashing), and has stayed on ever since. Not sure if it was on while the revs were fluctuating, as I didn't notice it at the time, only later. On the same trip, I also had a moment where, while turning into a junction, I didn't feel 100% in control of the steering, but that only lasted a second or so, and then passed - Given the weather conditions last night, I guess that could well have been down to road conditions and a lingering patch of ice, but I thought I'd better mention it just in case it's a symptom of something connected to the EOBD in some strange way only Fiat would think of!! ;) Apart from the EOBD light being on, it's running fine now, with no apparent problem other than the light being on.

As it's still under warranty at the garage where we got it, it's already booked in with them to be plugged into the computer on Monday morning, but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas what the issue could be. I've read the other threads here and seen mention of RPM sensor issues, and that's certainly got my attention as a possibility...
