If yopu have a Mk2 or Mk2b (your sig says 04 Punto), then you have an airbag in the steering wheel.
The new wheel can either fit natively over the spline, or (as with most aftermarket wheels) needs a boss to make it fit. In either case, the manufacturer should supply, as part of the kit, a resistance kit to 'deactivate' or 'bypass' the airbag in the steering wheel. Deactivate is not the correct term, but its the best one I can think of at this time of the day :)
If you don't bypass the airbag, the ECU will go into fault and the airbag led will show on your dash.

Ahh ok thanks guys,
if im going to need to do all that i think it might just be worth sticking to the steering wheel i got lol :)
safer ... i didnt know if u cud just swap them.
i knew i woudnt have a airbag but my airbag LED's are alredi flashing anyways (n)

thanks :D
might consider it for my next car thoo

Why don't you go for a Punto Sporting steering wheel?
I intensly disliked (to put it mildly) the standard wheel. I looked at getting a replacement from Momo, but managed to get a leather mk2 Sporting wheel with airbag. Simply replaced the existing wheel - nothing else. Straight on, no fuss, no fiddling with ECU's etc. had it checked by Fiat...no errors visible in Examiner.
