hi all,
Just after christmas got myself my first punto. A £550 wreck of a 1.2 mk2 5dr 2002. Plan being to correct all the wrongs and make it look decent and useable again.

Its got god awful steelies on it standard 14 inch size.

Ive just bought a set of four Punto GT alloys 185/60/14's. just standard, nothing fancy. but, will these fit my punto without any further modification??

If i need to change something/add something, what is it!!

Cheers!

Chris

Perfect!
Picking them up tomorrow if ebay seller ever gets back to me!

Bargain! 4 alloys with good tyres for £40!! :)

Omg thats well luckii !! i paid 80 for mine then needed spiget rings for 25 quid to fit my punto then after half a year new tyres for 80 quid ( for 2 ) :(
make sur eyou have a nice amount of tread on the ones u bought

Re: New wheels, will these fit? BOLTS!

Nope, straight fit, assuming they came with their wheel bolts. You've even got the tyre size right for the mk2 (it would be 185/55 R14 for mk1).

Notice for any other unknowledgable idiots attmepting this before taking advice.. listen to what people say.
Rather than getting all excited and running off to take all your tyres off and replace with your new alloys, pay attention to small points as above qouted -- ''assuming they came with their wheel bolts''..
they didnt... i replaced each wheel assuming that one turn on the bolts seemed a little strange but thought i was just feeling weak.... reversed out and lost a front wheel!

So... wheel bolts... Which ones do i need to make the alloys mentioned fit?? Could somone with a brain have a quick looky on ebay for me and point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Chris

1 year on and rather than starting a new thread i thought i would use my old..

Its that time again. Been offered a good price on some bigger alloys.
TSW Hockenheim 16inch Wheels with 4 stud fitments (these look like they will fit!?)
They are 16inch and have wheels size 205/50ZR16

I've done some googling and can only see these wheels on Golf's / B<W's (and 1 guy trying them on a MK1 punto) but the ones ive been offered have the 4 stud fitment, so should fit?!

Anything special needed to get these to sit flush on my 5 door MK2 '02 plate?

If so and you know, link me up to purchase please!!

edit - HOW WEIRD!! - JUST NOTICED, it was nearly EXACTLY A YEAR AGO that i last upgraded my wheels!! What are the chances to do the same thing on nearly the same day over a year apart!!
Geeze!
